Hey! Good job! You're reading! I'm proud of you!
Alllllllll that stuff just below is all about ME!!! Aren't you excited?
-
I consider myself, first and foremost, a Daughter of God. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, religion is very important to me. Go to http://www.mormon.org/ to find out more about my wonderful church!

Secondly, I am a writer. I love writing. Beautiful literature inspires me to write, as you can see here, at http://www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=102595. The stories there are based on some of my favorite novels, Pride and Prejudice and the Harry Potter series. The poetry I've written is on http://www.fictionpress.net/profile.php?userid=102595. I won't say I'm good, but my friends say I write well. (MUAHAHAHA!!!) I'm told that poetry is my best, but I enjoy writing novels more because there is more work and imagination involved, since you create and prolong an entire alternate universe. A powerful idea, no?

I spend a considerable amount of my time reading. My current favorite is the works of Jane Austen, an 18th century authoress who writes beautiful tales about young women of her time and their struggle for happiness in romance and the other aspects of their lives. I enjoy John Bytheway, a member of my church who writes inspirational and guiding books for life's rough times. J. R. R. Tolkien is a literary genius who has my unwaivering admiration for The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King. J. K. Rowling is also fabulous and I cannot WAIT until the 5th book comes out in the US. Ever since I was very young, I have enjoyed L. M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables, and a couple years ago I was so fortunate as to actually buy the entire series for practically nothing!

I come from a large family...an older sister (1981) and older brother (1983), and a younger sister (1989) and younger brother (1991). My sister just had a beautiful baby boy (2003) and I am really lucky because I see my little nephew every single day! My sister's room like four steps down the hall, so sometimes (if he tries really hard) Baby can even wake me up at 2am! ;) I also have 4 quarter-German shepard, half-husky, quarter-wolf dogs. They are very pretty, if not especially docile. And then there's Tweety, the little yellow parakeet (who is actually not chirping as a write this!) that lives on top of the piano.
-
Speaking of the piano, I do not play it. I don't play any instruments actually, even if a lady at my church tried to teach me piano, but I have a keen appreciation for music. My entire family are die-hard country music fans, but I like pop in moderation, and I really like classical, when the station comes in---it's kind of obsure and static-y. My favorite country artists include Jessica Andrews, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, and Martina McBride. I also enjoy singing and participate in my church choir as often as I can. Practices are after church, so it's not surprising that my family doesn't really want to stay so I can sing. But I really love to sing, so I do it at home with the radio---sometimes that's not appreciated either. Grr.
-
My favorite pastime is going to my best friend's house. She is so sweet and pretty and talented. She plays violin and piano, and writes beautifully, and still finds time to get good grades. We like going for walks together, giggling and talking, and really just hanging out. We're also trying to convert Pride and Prejudice to modern times, like Clueless is based on Emma. I've known her since I moved here, but we weren't friends until a few years ago. And then we couldn't be kept apart! I did have her webpage linked on here, but since I'm letting more people see this, I didn't want some psycho to come after her. ;-)

As for movies, I seldom find an adult one that doesn't have swearing that I've nearly given up on the media. But I have seen some good ones. Emma, and Possession, both with Gwyneth Paltrow; Instinct, with Cuba Gooding Jr.; Pride and Prejudice--a TV mini-series--with Colin Firth; The Fellowship of the Ring, with Elijah Wood; and Anne of Avonlea. if you can tell, most of the movies I watch are based on books that I adore.
Thank you SO much for looking at my page! I hoped you enjoyed it. Look back often for new stuff! And if you have any suggestions for what I should add, let me know! Thanks again! Luv---Sara!!!
